I'm the lady subject of this Website and this is the message I try to Email or post on Message Boards, for people who are concerned or have a similar predicament, that I'm able to reach. NEVER GIVE UP!
I am a breast cancer patient with metastasis to the lungs. What you need to know is that people have recovered from all types of cancers regardless of how serious. So this has happened for some quaint reason. Call it the will of God or whatever. Your fighting spirit and your will to overcome this disease is foremost amongst all treatments you can get.
You must decide to keep on keeping on. Science has limited and not absolute information on this disease - hence in a way the outcome for a particular person is unpredictable - you can help shape the outcome. Each person is different. Yes by all means find a Doctor you can trust and feel confident of. Yes, I would say do continue with your normal life. The more you are able to - and I know it is easier said than done - resume life as normal the better it is. Always, and I repeat, refer to your Doctor proceed with life as normal and try to put this behind you. Swimming and walking are good. Life style and nutrition has a lot to do with combating cancer; read about it. Have faith and pray. Take up a hobby like painting or whatever to distract your mind. Do Reflexology it is very helpful. Listen to contemplative, relaxation and this type of music let your mind drift. Take these breaks. Stay away from negative people - as a matter of fact ignore them. Life is too short to waste on those. Do not let many things affect you - put things in the right perspective.
With my husband, our motto is "Grab the Moment". If you are sitting on a train and there is nice scenery, enjoy it. Hugging someone you love - enjoy it. Nice smell, whatever. Capitalize on the moment. I always have hope, think positive and say to myself that my body is clean. I look at my husband and my children and say to myself life is delightful - I gain courage. I will keep on fighting till I conquer the disease with the help of God. You sound all right - for all of you out there, please never consider giving up - life is a struggle.
Give a meaning to life. It is not how long we live but how we live life. This is what can differentiate mankind from other living creatures. From the moment we are born into this world, we struggle for breath. Never give up the struggle, do not let the culprit win. Fight it with exchange of knowledge, will power and determination. Fight cancer.
